WHERE ARE THE CAPSULES MADE? Our factory is in Martorell, near Barcelona, Spain. Canals was established in 1947, and employs over 125 people full time in the production of capsules. All aspects of the manufacturing process are done "in house", such as tooling, graphic arts, printing, etc. HOW CAN I BE ASSURED OF QUALITY PRODUCTS? Canals capsules are manufactured under the strict guidelines of the quality control organization ISO 9002. We also have a full staff of highly trained quality control inspectors who audit each step of the production process. Our machine operators take great care with each order. References are available upon request. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AN ORDER? The normal time for stock capsule delivery is 2 to 6 days depending on your geographical location, and about 4 to 6 weeks for most custom capsules. Primary delivery is by air from overseas, and UPS for stock samples. Delivery by cargo ship can reduce the cost to customer. Emergency orders receive top priority if needed. Go to catalog to order now. WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED TO APPLY THE CAPSULES? PVC: Can be applied by hand or automatic capsule applicator. They are shrunk down with infrared or hot air heat tunnel, or rotating heat shrink heads, or manually operated hot air blower. POLYLAM: This capsule requires the same standard "spinner" as is used for application of tin capsules. S-CAP: This capsule can be applied by hand or with automatic applicator available only from Canals, and shrunk down in standard heat tunnels, or heat shrink heads, or with manually operated hot air blower. High-speed automatic capsule application machines are available for line speeds up to 30,000 bottles per hour. TOP-CAP: Same application as normal polylam capsules. No special equipment required. WHAT IS REQUIRED TO PRODUCE CUSTOM CAPSULES? The minimum order for capsules with your logo and artwork is 50,000 pieces. We require the artwork for the capsule, the PMS# colors, or examples of colors to be used, and the bottle the capsules will be used on. CD computer artwork, or e-mail can be used also. A full range of colors are available for all capsules upon request. We can match any color, with a minimum combined order of 50,000 pieces. You may receive more than one color to make the minimum quantity required. We can provide a "matte" finish, a "glossy" finish, or shades in between.
